This album is a tribute to 70’s Jazz Funk, but also to modern technology. Moz-Art, Blade and Farias, the three producers behind the Jestofunk project, for this second album decided to recreate the same workshop atmosphere of the previous one, involving even more special guests: vocalist Jocelyn Brown, Reggae legend Freddy Mc Gregor and once again trombonist Fred Wesley and singer Ce Ce Rogers.
Following two successful albums and a string of well received remixes, Jestofunk give us a live set. The energy coming out of this 70 minute recording is overwhelming and the track-listing contains the best tracks from their two studio works: “Say It Again”, “Why” and “Be A Warrior”, among others.
Blue Valentine Nice laidback album of jazzy vocals with a sort of tight modern sound, recorded live by the British singer at London’s Ronnie Scott’s club in 1994. She’s backed by a band with nice electric keys and a mellow Jazz feel. This album is a remarkable collaboration with American guitarist Marc Ribot. Sarah-Jane pulled her favourite CD’s from her collection and played the songs to Ribot who worked out the chords while she wrote down the lyrics. Among the classics covered: “I Can’t Stand The Rain”, “Chelsea Hotel”, “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory”, “Piece Of My Heart” and “Mercy Mercy Me”.

Percussion from the Wood. This project by Maurizio Belladonna and Marco Duranti shows their tribalside. African and Brazilian percussion mingle with the more technological ingredients of Tech-House and Jazz House. Main tracks on the album are the opening ‘Aki’, the psycho-tribal ride ‘Rumbatronics’ and ‘The Train’ where Disco meets Africa.
Plays Marcos Valle. This CD, conceived and selected by Deodato himself, contains only Marcos Valle compositions recorded by Deodato with Os Catedraticos in the 60’s, but never released before together on one album. Their version of ‘Crickets sing for Anamaria (Os Grilos)’ is a must, not to mention the title track. Other less known gems complete this selection, which also includes alternative takes for serious colectors.

Second album from Ricky Rinaldi a.k.a. Ohm Guru, six years after 'The Groove Improver'. A synthesis of his constant musical research, from Breakbeat Jazz to the most sophisticated House, via Downtempo and Chill Out. Self taught French multiinstrumentalist Chris Joss joins the La Douce roster with his first international full length release titled ‘Dr. Rhythm’. The album is the outcome of one year of experimentation with Funk and Rare Groove and is a statement of Mr. Joss’ maturity and originality.
The Bossa Nova Session Volume 1. First reissue of two albums in one with new Irma style artwork: Samba Nova Concepcao coupled with Impulso by Os Catedraticos and Deodato. On the former Deodato plays mostly acoustic piano and is backed by a tight jazz group that plays sharp samba grooves behind him. Arrangements are by Daudeth de Azevedo (Neco) and Deodato is just the main soloist. On Impulso Deodato plays Hammond organ, backed by samba/bossa group. Dom Um Romao and Wilson Das Neves are on drums.

Modern Soul delivers genuine soul music that has been forgotten by DJ’s and music lovers, not to mention big audiences. Most of the material is issued on CD for the first time ever.
Zamling Shide United Peace Voices were founded after a meeting between Tibetan Lama Gangchen Rimpoche and the late Allen Ginsberg. On their first album a female choir and the Lama’s mantras meet the production from some of the best names from the Irma team. The result is a unique mixture of Asian traditional melodies and electronic arrangements, ranging from the Asian Lounge sound to Break Beat, from Electrobossa to Technodub.
This double CD includes the best of Irma Records' production on the Chill Out/Lounge music style. Some of the tracks included have now become classics, like "Asia Experience" by Skin4, "Bedouin Afterhour" by Zeb(most featured Italian artist in the Buddha Bar compilations) or the remix, produced by Josh wink and King Britt in 1992, of "Yerba Del Diable" by Datura.
